Time to kiss 2020 goodbye.
The winter solstice is a big deal for us Alaskans. It marks the end of darker days and a closer countdown to the treasured Midnight Sun. After the turbulent year of 2020, the Downtown Association of Fairbanks asked us to create a new logo for this event that would eventually begin the rebrand of their own logo. They wanted the new look and feel to symbolize the light at the end of the tunnel.

We wanted to expand the original logo into more buildings that represented the heart of Fairbanks. We took an exploration into some iconography that could incorporate the rest of the city in a modern way and brightened the soft blues of winter tones.
