Year — 2019
Heat and energy is an important industry and part of life in The Last Frontier. As the largest supplier of coal in the state, Usibelli Coal Mine created an energy company, Aurora Energy Solutions, that used wood products as easy, sustainable solutions for heating the home.
They approached us needing a brand refresh to make a bold entrance to an already saturated market. The result was a clean, modern logo that thrived in its own ecosystem to elevate and recognize the brand.
All work is owned by Fairbanks Brand Studio and clients.

We took the existing brand colors and modernized them into a cleaner font and gradient.

We explored some animations with a flickering flame and gradient for a cozy setting in the company showroom.

We used a dotted halftone treatment on the product photoshoot paired with custom hand drawn elements and type to juxtapose the logo with a playful, approachable look.

We used hand-illustrated elements over halftone photos to create this custom mural for Aurora Energy's showroom. It was designed to portray an indoor and outdoor use example for their newest product, kiln-dried firewood.
